About the Role
This role is responsible for leading and supporting a small team across three key business functions: Accounting Support, Talent Acquisition, and Compliance Support. The Team Lead will oversee the team's day-to-day operations, provide coaching and guidance, ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently, and foster collaboration across departments to support the organization's operational goals.
While the role oversees multiple functions, it leads a small, cross-functional team where flexibility, collaboration, and hands-on leadership are essential. This is an operations leadership role focused on people management, process improvement, cross-functional coordination, and service delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, builds strong relationships, and is comfortable shifting priorities to support the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
· Lead, coach, and develop a small cross-functional team supporting Accounting, Talent Acquisition, and Compliance.
· Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide performance feedback, and support employee development.
· Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
· Monitor team productivity, quality, and service levels to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
· Support team members by removing obstacles and providing guidance on day-to-day operational challenges.
Operational Management
· Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Support, Talent Acquisition, and Compliance Support functions.
· Ensure payroll support, client billing, recruitment, and compliance activities are completed accurately and within established timelines.
· Prioritize workloads and allocate resources based on changing business needs.
· Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
· Ensure company processes, policies, and quality standards are consistently followed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Operations, Scheduling, Recruitment, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to support organizational goals.
· Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues requiring leadership support.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
· Communicate updates, priorities, and operational changes effectively with internal stakeholders.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
· Monitor team performance, service levels, and key operational metrics.
· Analyze trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans.
· Ensure systems, records, and operational documentation remain accurate and up to date.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging new ideas and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of experience leading or supervising teams in an operational, shared services, or business support environment.
· Experience leading a small team or supervising employees in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to build strong relationships with employees and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in healthcare, home care, staffing, or a service-based organization.
· Experience overseeing or supporting Accounting, Payroll, Billing, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, Compliance, or Onboarding functions.
· Familiarity with payroll, billing, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
· Experience using systems such as AlayaCare, JazzHR, Paychecks, or similar operational platforms.
· Experience monitoring KPIs, service levels, and operational performance metrics.
· Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
