JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for someone who likes active and hands-on work to join us as a Warehouse Associate at Nonn’s. This position reports to the Operations Manager and works at our distribution center in New Berlin, one mile from I-94. The Warehouse Associate ensures products and materials are organized and accurately prepares orders for deliveries and installer pick up. The Warehouse Associate works a full-time, first-shift schedule, Monday to Friday. Great opportunity to learn about warehouse operations in the construction industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review customer orders, install orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, stocked, picked or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage or from storage to staging or shipping area or to other designated area. In the case of a will-call order, pick and check the order and assist the customer in loading.
- Assist with warehouse maintenance, focusing on a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading and unloading the delivery trucks.
- May drive company vehicle to deliver materials.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 6+ months work experience in warehouse, construction, landscaping, or manufacturing.
- 6+ months on-the-job driving experience preferred.
- 6+ months experience preferred using a computer for shipping/receiving duties.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver license and meet our minimum standards following a Motor Vehicle Record review at time of job offer and at regular intervals while employed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
- Ability to read/write basic English correspondence and perform simple alphabetizing.
- Ability to order numbers and perform simple addition and subtraction.
