THE POSITION:

This is a full-time 100% remote role for a Senior Backend Software Developer at NovoPath. There are no plans to return to the office, and this role will be 100% remote. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, has a can-do attitude and is eager to research and implement solutions to complex challenges. The candidate will work closely with distributed teams across multiple time zones, lead backend development projects, mentor team members and support occasional client issues with knowledge of our application.

  WHAT YOU WILL DO:

· Utilized your skillset as a pragmatic coder to build and deploy efficient solutions.

· Use your SaaS and PaaS experience to follow and evolve a philosophy of scalable design patterns.

· Research, analyze and recommend appropriate technologies.

· Participate in product design and architecture discussions; ability to lead.

· Assist in optimizing SDLC; proponent of Agile/SCRUM

· Mentor junior developers.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

· Passion for creating high quality enterprise software systems.

· A detail-oriented approach with creative problem-solving abilities 

· Knowledge and enterprise in architecture and design patterns  

· Extensive knowledge in Node (Typescript), popular back-end design patterns with a bias towards high performing systems 

· Experience building scalable products for 24/7 enterprise customers

· A bias towards using the Agile/SCRUM process and methodology

· Experience in the following tech stack (but not limited to): 

o Node.js, Nest, Sequelize 

o Messaging: RabbitMQ or equivalent 

o Database: PostgreSQL, MS SqlServer

o Transmission: WebSocket

o API Suite: RESTful, GraphQL

o Security: Encryption and authorization standards

· Experience coding preferably in a regulated environment

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science

· 3-5 years professional experience

POSITION & WORKPLACE DETAILS:

· This is a full-time, salaried position.

· This position is a 100% remote role.

· Occasional travel, 1 to 2 total trips per year

· Role reports directly to the CIO
