The Application Developer is responsible for gathering and assessing project requirements, with a focus on Dataverse data structures and governance best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to solution design to address system and data integration gaps.
- Prepare business requirements, technical specifications, and system design documentation.
- Develop solutions in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) leveraging Dataverse as the core data platform.
- Build and maintain Power Automate flows for business process automation and system integrations.
- Develop Power Pages (formerly Power Portal) solutions for external-facing apps and portals.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory pipelines, and Azure services for scalable data workflows.
- Participate in software configuration, testing, training, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability of solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting, support, and improvements for Power Platform applications and integrations.
- Escalate top-priority or production-critical issues promptly.
- Recommend improvements to architecture, governance, and security practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/MIS, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience developing on the Microsoft Power Platform:
- Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
- Dataverse
- Power Automate
- Power Pages
- Power BI (basic integration for reporting)
- Experience with integration and orchestration using Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, or Logic Apps.
- Familiarity with Azure developer services (Function Apps, Storage Accounts, Service Bus).
- Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and release management.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse / Warehouse concepts and integration with Dataverse.
- Experience with data migration, performance optimization, and security management.
- Experience with SharePoint development and administration is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver high-quality solutions.
Recommended Certifications (or willingness to obtain within first 6–12 months):
- PL-100: Microsoft Power Platform App Maker
- PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant
- PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer
- PL-600: Power Platform Solution Architect (future career progression)
- Fabric- or Data Engineering-related certification (DP-203 or successor under Fabric)
