Position Summary:
The Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of marketing strategy, advertising and promotional plans for all co-promotional and commercial performances at Steelhouse Omaha, Holland Center, and Orpheum Theater, while ensuring activities are completed on time and within budget; including the placement of advertising, and the collecting and reconciliation of expenses, while using data-driven insights and measuring impact of efforts.
This position serves as the point person for assigned marketing plans / campaigns, interacting with O-pa’s promoter partners and the O-pa Marketing and Programming teams, and executing the final advertising and promotion plans, as liaison with both internal departments and external providers; such as advertisers, media, vendors, and other partners. Position Duties and Responsibilities - Essential Functions:
• Assists in the strategic creation and execution of all marketing plans and advertising buys for co-pro and commercial performances as assigned.
• Coordinates all contact for assigned commercial performances, acting upon the strategy of the Vice President of Commercial Entertainment and our promoter partners, while liaising with O-pa’s Marketing department.
• Manages outside relations with broadcast traffic coordinators, confirming materials and ensuring prompt re-delivery of spots if needed.
• Coordinates weekly meetings with the O-pa Marketing staff, including scheduling standing inter- and intra-departmental meetings, external meetings with media partners and account representation.
• Completes timely show marketing settlements for all assigned commercial productions.
Non-Essential Functions:
• Works with O-pa Marketing to deploy the third-party email/contact system to distribute email marketing messages, and to schedule social media posts relative to show content.
• Provides support at performances and scheduled events as needed.
• Attends all meetings as required.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a marketing/advertising/public relations position required. Commercial entertainment marketing experience preferred.
• Proficient in marketing disciplines such as the implementation and execution of marketing plans; including media buying and placement in various media.
• Knowledgeable in the production of advertising, promotional and collateral materials.
• Skilled in communication; able to facilitate positive working relationships under pressure, manage conflict effectively and build consensus.
• Proficient in written communication; including business communication, advertising copy, email protocol, etc.
• Experienced in print, broadcast, ecommerce, and digital marketing.
• Must be detail-oriented with proven ability to manage project schedules on time and within budget.
• Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and with colleagues.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications; including Office Suites 2003 or higher, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
