Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Economics, Data Science, Math, etc.)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 1-5 years of experience in energy or sustainability industry
- Understanding of statistical analysis
- High level of integrity and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and security of company information.
- Proficiency in Office (Powerpoint, Word, etc.).
- Strong Proficiency with Excel is required, including more technical aspects like plotting, pivot tables, or using Solver/Goal Seek. Other programming languages useful (Python, SQL, R, VBA etc.) but not required.
- Experience in weather correction of energy usage data is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation
- Ability to travel on occasion (~4 times/yr)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor energy & environmental regulations to support client compliance efforts (e.g. NYC’s LL97)
- Develop general content which marketing/sales teams can use to keep clients informed of regulatory/program changes
- Become an expert appropriate environmental goals/claims (e.g. Science-based targets, bundled RECs)
- Assist clients in developing strategies to meet environmental goals/targets. Perform necessary analysis to support optimized plan; document & record these plans for client.
- Analyze/Create the most effective portfolios of cost and emissions efforts among our services (efficiency, renewable procurement, offsets, etc.)
- Submit reports/data to regulatory agencies supporting achieved compliance
- Assist team members in analyzing various renewable energy projects (community solar, PPAs, etc.)
