Job Summary:

The Creative Content and Digital Media Strategist will work in partnership with the Creative Marketing Manager to develop and execute creative content, social media outreach, and a digital media plan to support Hog Island Oyster Co.’s annual campaigns, promotions, events, activities and overall voice and company values: People, Planet, Profit. 


The Creative Content and Digital Media Strategist will stay up to date, and ahead, of digital and social media trends, utilizing the best and most relevant avenues to reach our core audiences. The associate will be a skilled content creator, copywriter and have a keen eye for photography and design.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in marketing/ creative, preferably in the food + hospitality space
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, social media, and email marketing structure
  • Experience running social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, and Youtube
  • Experience with social media management platforms such as Later
  • Experience with Dropbox, Google Suite, Monday.com
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to simplify and present complex ideas to audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable writing blog posts and social posts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A sharp creative eye for photography and design
  • Ability to work independently while understanding the importance of working in a team environment
  • Ability to drive to multiple locations throughout the Bay Area in your own vehicle

Essential Duties + Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Understand and manage a cohesive “Hog Island” tone of voice
  • Ability to be creative, compelling, and authentic in written and visual communications
  • Develop strategies to improve follower count, engagement, and brand recognition across social platforms
  • Researches target audiences to develop effective strategies and appropriate content that caters to target audiences
  • Creates reports and presentations to share post performance, community engagement and track success of social media initiatives and campaigns
  • Develops, curates, and deploys compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales
  • Works with marketing team to create content for multi channel campaigns and promotions
  • Coordinate daily social media content creation and posting across all Hog Island social platforms
  • Manage community engagement across all social platforms, answering questions and comments and manage UGC content
  • Assist in updating and maintaining content marketing and social calendars
  • Assist in influencer marketing efforts and social media giveaways
  • Organization of media assets
  • Administrative tasks when needed

Preferred:

  • Experience in the food, hospitality and/or aquaculture industry
  • A thorough understanding of emerging social platforms and experience creating content for them
  • Basic video-editing skills, photography, and design skills, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Salary Description
$70,000 - $75,000 DOE
