Job Description: Lead Supervisor 

Reports To: Residential Director of Training and Supervision 

Salaried, Exempt, At-Will Employee

The lead supervisor creates and maintains a safe, learning environment for employees and students at Telos. They work with the residential director to complete administrative duties as well as special assignments. Their duties are listed below, but are not limited to: 


Duties 

  • Training mentors and supervisors to be more efficient and to better connect with the  students
  • Gaining a knowledge of program details, protocols and routines
  • Conducting one-on-one trainings with each staff on shift at least once per shift
  • Teaching and training mentors and supervisors to advance
  • Supervising mentors and students
  • Generating and maintaining emotional safety 
  • Building relationships and looking for ways to create teamwork
  • Completing accurate, timely documentation of staff logs, daily incident reports,  communication logs and as needed documentation 
  • Relaying information about previous shifts to current shifts 
  • Following up on assigned tasks and documenting on HQ (online company database)
  • Reading books from the Telos reading list 
  • Completing certifications assigned, including but not limited to: first aid, CPR, food  handler’s permit, tuberculosis test, restraint training, suicide prevention and infection  control, and general / specialty competencies 
  • Working with the residential director for administrative and special assignments · Attending treatment team on a regular basis and all other required meetings/conferences
