Riverbend Industries (RBI) is a private family-owned portfolio holding company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The portfolio is primarily comprised of several small, independently operated, previously family-run businesses in the light manufacturing and distribution sectors. The portfolio is a long-term holder of its investments/assets and plans to grow both organically and through acquisitions into the foreseeable future.


Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans, product management, and market analysis for the organization to attract and retain customers, while overseeing campaigns across various channels (including digital, print, events, and social media) to build brand awareness and drive sales.

Primary Responsibilities

  •  Lead by example with a Safety First mindset in every task
  • Conduct market analysis to identify customer pain points, industry trends, and competitive threats. 
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend strategies for product positioning and growth. 
  • Partner with the cross functional team to produce high-quality content, such as case studies, white papers, webinars, and thought leadership pieces. 
  • Align content to increase brand visibility. 
  • Engage with customers to collect testimonials, case studies, and feedback that inform product development and marketing strategies. 
  • Collaborate and support go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, updates, and campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with product management to understand roadmaps and develop launch strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth. 
  • Create and deliver training materials, sales decks, competitive insights, and product collateral to equip the sales team for success. 
  • Develop tools to communicate product value to customers effectively.
  • Establishes (through careful data and benchmarking), pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development to manage a product or product category's life cycle 
  • Create and implement the American Wheatley event presentation for customer events and national trade shows. This includes managing show deadlines, booth layout and marketing presentations, customer interactions and coordinating setup, tear down and logistics
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years or more of relevant product management or product marketing experience required
  • Experience in B2B markets
  • Proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies for technical products
  • Experience enabling sales teams with tools, training, and competitive insights
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools and metrics

Preferred

  • Industrial B2B experience
