We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our vehicle inventory, from acquisition to sale. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dealership maintains optimal inventory levels and maximizes profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Planning and Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive inventory strategy aligned with dealership sales goals and market trends. Optimize inventory levels to maximize profitability while minimizing carrying costs. Conduct regular inventory analysis and forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Vehicle Acquisition: Source and acquire new and pre-owned vehicles through various channels, including auctions, dealer trades, and direct purchases. Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners to secure desirable inventory.
- Pricing and Profitability: Establish competitive pricing strategies for new and pre-owned vehicles to maximize profitability. Conduct market analysis to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and develop a high-performing inventory team. Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize operations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and identify trends. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure inventory performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all inventory processes contribute to an exceptional customer experience. Collaborate with sales and service departments to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in automotive inventory management, preferably within a luxury dealership.
- Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations.
- Experience in inventory management or supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess a valid in-state driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Standing and Walking: Inventory managers often spend time walking around the dealership, inspecting vehicles, and checking inventory levels.
- Sitting: There may be periods of sitting, such as during meetings or while reviewing inventory data.
- Reaching and Bending: Managers may need to reach into vehicles to inspect or verify information.
- Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, files, or small equipment.
