JOB TITLE: Marketing Intern


JOB PURPOSE:

As a key member of the Marketing and Sales Team, the Marketing Intern will provide support for the Sales and Marketing team. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Intern will possess strong abilities to collaborate with a variety of departments and personalities. They will assist in the planning, coordinating and execution of marketing programs, and support organizational objectives. They should be a self-starter, motivated, and able to work independently, but at the same time work collaboratively with others, to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and respond to changing demands. 


The Marketing Intern will have exposure to and be expected to do any of the following duties:

  • Design and develop marketing materials.
  • Correspond with outside vendors and suppliers.
  • Help prepare and conduct product presentations, and marketing events.
  • Develop and implement strategies and content for social media platforms.
  • Update company website and social media tools.
  • Maintain promotional materials and archived marketing materials.
  • Plan and coordinate company events such as holiday parties and summer picnics.
  • Monitor employee uniform supplies to ensure accurate inventory counts and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Draft press and media releases
  • Execute direct marketing campaigns 
  • Prepare online marketing campaigns
  • Monitor competitive activity 
  • Monitor and assess customer feedback
  • Maintain customer information via marketing database and CRM system
  • Collect and analyze sales data to prepare marketing reports
  • Track, coordinate and assemble data to measure outcomes of marketing programs
  • Communicate with sales and production regarding product and pricing changes
  • Ensure marketing activities comply with state and federal regulations

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Majoring in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Hours will vary - typical week is 10-15 hours. Schedule is flexible but some time may be required during normal business hours.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear others both physically present and on the telephone. Additionally, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand in the reception area. The employee is frequently required to move, use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work inside both office and shop space. Some travel to an E1 office or outside event may be required. Occasionally, this position may require travel to outdoor work sites or other E1 offices.
  • This position is remote or located in Jackson WY, with responsibilities for additional locations. 
  • This FLSA non-exempt position typically works M-F but may be requested to work evenings and weekends on occasion for special events.
