Requirements

The Security Solutions Specialist will perform analysis, integration, implementation, and support operations for all developed and deployed security solutions. The purpose of this position is to help support, operate, and optimize leading security solutions to enhance the security services portfolio. The Security Solution Specialist will also provide support for the Technical Support Center, as an escalation point on any security related solutions


PRIMARY DUTIES: 


Service Delivery 

1. Technical delivery and engineering support for security solutions.

2. Primary resource for the deployment and administration of the company’s core security solutions. These include and are not limited to Centralized/Cloud Firewall solutions, Cisco Umbrella, and Secureworks Taegis XDR platforms.

3. Work with project manager and other stakeholders to track projects and provide updates on security related tasks.

4. Provide analysis on security events, firewall reviews, or other baseline systems prior to deployment.

5. Responsible for Centralized/Cloud Firewall (Cisco) implementation and changes.


PreSales Support 

1. Support in aligning security solutions with the customer requirements and the company’s offerings.

2. Implement scalable security solutions that align with the company’s service portfolio.

3. Support the Security team in developing statements/scopes of work, reference architectures, bills of material, implementation guidelines, service operations runbooks, and levels of effort for security solution implementations.

4. Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies and trends across multiple technology disciplines that could impact or enhance the service portfolio and the business.

5. Sales presentation support: communicating in a manner that conveys credibility and confidence, making complex ideas or situations clear and understandable.


Security Engineering and Operations Support

1. Escalation support for resolution of security products, projects, problems, or concerns 

2. Help facilitate customer success and adoption journey to optimize the customer’s security platform.

3. Determine new methods and develop new procedures for accomplishing work to increase efficiency and quality.

4. Responsible or approval authority for Centralized/Cloud Firewall (Cisco) implementation and changes.

5. Develop training for new and enhanced products and conduct training for the company’s Operations teams.

6. Perform analysis, diagnosis and root cause analysis of complex security network issues

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

· 5+ years’ experience in a consulting, design, or deployment engineering position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

· Security technical engineering and/or deployment experience with Fortinet, Cisco FTD, FMC, and Umbrella.

· Cisco Umbrella DNS/SIG/Cloud VPN Experience

· Technical Experience:

o Fortinet

o Palo Alto

o Cisco ASA/NGFW, Sourcefire, and Cisco Management Applications

o Cisco Cloud Security Solutions – Umbrella, Stealthwatch, AMP

· Taegis XDR Administrator/Analyst/Consultant certifications are a plus.

· Strong experience participating in complex technical projects in large scale networks.

· Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems within converged communications infrastructure.

· Ability to convert requirements into an actionable scope of work and reference documents.

· Management and Business Skills

o Excellent oral, written communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to communicate at both a technical and business level with technical staff and C-level executives.

o Able to whiteboard solutions to a diverse audience.

o Strong customer service skills.

o Works well within a team and adapts easily to change.

o A self-starter with a history of working unsupervised while achieving required goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

· Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

· Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).

· Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 40 Hours/Week


TRAVEL: While travel is not a regular part of this position, it will be necessary to attend certain conferences and training classes where overnight stays will be required.


SALARY : $100K -$120 K DOE
