Description

  

Basic Scope/Purpose: Maintains warehouse area, by organizing and tracking material in all production phases. Makes sure that material is provided to meet production requirements. Prepares and maintains related summaries and document files. Participates in annual warehouse inventory audit.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepares, submits, and assist with administration of export licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA), and miscellaneous correspondence with U.S. Federal Government agencies.
  • Understands and applies U.S. Export Regulations (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Export Administration Regulations (EAR)), along with all company export policies. 
  • Supports import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service.
  • Conducts audits to verify physical shipments accuracy using bills of lading, invoices, and other documents
  • Identifies and records any discrepancies.
  • Prepares, distributes, or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct.
  • Coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues.
  • Performs data entry of shipping and cargo details into systems following required procedures.
  • Assist company personnel on export-related questions. Maintains and increases knowledge by attending relevant seminars and training along with self-study.
  • Participates in compliance audits and investigations along with conducting internal compliance training programs.
  • Interact with traffic personnel in resolving issues pertaining to international shipments.
  • Visual compliance review of any potential matches
  • Reports potential export/import violations to the Materials Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
  • Suggest solutions to process and workflow within facility as related to handling of materials and ITAR controlled documentation.
  • Works closely with external parties, such as brokers and freight forwarders and suppliers to drive continuous improvement, ensure quality performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Identification and correction of Export Compliance Gaps. 
  • Ability to perform all duties of Material Handler.
  • Keep the warehouse neat and clean.
  • Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  •  Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.   
Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:
 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience with export/importing products.
  • 1-3 years of related export experience.  

Skills & Physical Requirements: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including  ability to effectively communicate with team.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions. 
  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.   
Salary Description
$24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
