Who We’re Looking For:

 We have an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer in the Plano, TX office. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the generation, implementation, improvement and audit of company ISO quality standards, supply chain management plans, quality management plans as well as overseeing internal quality controls for production and engineering development. The Quality Engineer will be required to interact with customers and DCMA for government program.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continuously improve the company's quality management system to ensure its effective operation.
  • Generate and implement new quality standards, quality management plans, supplier management programs, hazardous material plans
  • Generate, implement and monitor EU certifications, ROHS, and REACH compliance
  • Work with commercial and government customers quality programs including DCMA for government contracts 
  • Responsible for supervising the strict implementation of quality system documents by all departments of the company, timely coordinating, supplementing and revising inappropriate problems, as well as proposing rectification requirements for poor      implementation, including supervising and verifying them.
  • Organize regular internal audits of the company's system, conduct statistical analysis of non-conformance, track progress of improvement and verification, as well as establish and implement standardization.
  • In the case of significant changes in the organizational structure, or changes in the process, assist in the completion of the quality system document version change or revision, the organization of management system knowledge training and other related work.
  • Responsible for auditing second and third parties, including tracking the rectification and verification of non-conformance items.
  • Accountable for tracking and handling customer complaints, sorting out and analyzing customer complaint data, and then proposing improvement   plans.
  • Assist with the improvement and optimization of various processes.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen, with ability to get security clearance if necessary (due to US government contracts)
  • Bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering
  • Experience with imaging systems and optics is a plus
  • 3 – 5 years of working experience in a quality management system; technical experience in imaging, optics or electronics industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Dexterity to work both autonomously and with given direction.
  • Aptitude to collaborate and work well with others within a small team, in an open work space environment.
  • Must display a positive attitude and willingness to do what is required to get the job done.
  • Familiarity and understanding of the company's processes, operations and materials.
  • Proficient in quality operation management, product knowledge and standards.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO9001/TS16949 quality management system, as well as possess the ability to utilize PFMEA/APQP and other quality improvement tools.
  • Adept in quality management tools and QC techniques, skilled at data statistics and analysis, talented in utilizing MINITAB software.
  • Knowledge of DCMA procedures and processes is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office and other related computer software proficiency.
  • Capability of prioritizing tasks and planning processes independently as well as working interdependently within a cross-functional team.
  • Proven track record of high emotional intelligence.
  • Willingness and ability to learn, in addition to thinking outside of the box.
