Job Description:


The purpose of the Marketing Coordinator is to provide a vital role in supporting various marketing initiatives, including gathering data-driven reports, analyzing trends, providing support for social media engagement, coordinating events (both physical and digital), and assisting with content creation in collaboration with the marketing team. Furthermore, the role entails researching strategies, demonstrating proficiency in social media, and aiding in administrative tasks as directed, in tandem with the Digital Marketing and Community Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in creating effective content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Excellent editing, grammar, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in marketing communications and creative strategic thinking.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently, as part of a team, and manage flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to all Smith Chason College campuses and facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics) and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and clear presentation of data insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Proficiency in Office365 apps (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through ability and willingness to explore new ideas.
  • Passion for higher education and commitment to promoting Smith Chason College's mission and values.
  • Previous experience in marketing, advertising, or digital media (including internships or entry-level positions) is beneficial.
Salary Description
$40,000 - $50,000 DOE Annual Salary
