Business Intelligence Analyst
Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst role is pivotal in generating insightful sales and performance reports, creating market heatmaps, and conducting thorough sales territories and marketplace analyses. The ideal candidate will leverage data from ERP systems, like NetSuite, to drive strategic decisions and enhance business performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate accurate and timely sales and performance reports using extracted data from ERP systems such as NetSuite. Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data, giving the executive team and sales leaders actionable insights.
  •  Market Analysis: Create detailed market heatmaps based on sales data to identify market trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement. Conduct comprehensive marketplace analyses to understand competitive positioning and market dynamics.
  •  Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain pipeline reports and reviews, ensuring data accuracy and providing insights into sales progress and forecasts.
  •  Sales Territories Analysis: Analyze sales territories for penetration and effectiveness. Use geographic and sales data to optimize sales strategies and territory allocations.
  •  Dashboard Development: Design and implement interactive dashboards using Power BI. Ensure dashboards provide real-time insights into sales metrics, performance indicators, and other critical business data.
  •  Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with sales, marketing, and executive teams to share insights and recommend data-driven business growth and efficiency strategies. 
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information systems, data science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a business intelligence analyst or in a similar role, with a strong background in sales data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, macros).
  • Experience in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, preferred.
  • Preference for experience in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, heat mapping software, and managing Power BI dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for all levels of the organization.
  • Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Sandy Hook, CT, or will have relocated to the area before the employment start date.
