Allied OMS is a doctor-owned, doctor-led, and doctor-governed management services organization (MSO) in the oral and maxillofacial surgery space that combines the best of private practice with the best of private equity.

Founded in 2020 in partnership with DuneGlass Capital, a healthcare services-focused independent sponsor, the Allied OMS network now includes 60 doctors serving patients from 42 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

  

About the role

  

Allied OMS is seeking a MarComm Intern to join our high-growth company, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our marketing engine that spans both B2B and B2C. This role supports both the Creative Director and VP of Marketing and Communications in all things storytelling - crafting engaging content for various formats, including social media posts, email marketing campaigns, event materials, websites, and more. The MarComm Intern will report to the VP of Marketing and Communications and will work closely with the Brand team to align copy with visual design. The MarComm intern will also collaborate with other Allied OMS departments to create content that supports their objectives Upon successful completion of the internship, there will be an opportunity for the Intern to transition into a full-time role as a Senior Associate, Marketing and Communications. The position will be hybrid, requiring the individual to work from the Chicago office a few days each week, where they will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with marketing team members.


Key Responsibilities 

  

  • Tell the Allied story across various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, website, event materials, and traditional marketing collateral both at the platform level and for Allied OMS oral and maxillofacial surgery practices
  • Collaborate with Brand team on marrying copy with beautiful and impactful visuals
  • Ensure all copy aligns with Allied OMS’s brand voice and guidelines
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of accuracy, grammar, and style
  • Support other Allied OMS departments in content creation 
  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategies
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials for satellite offices and practice marketing

  • Eagerness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment 
Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field; must be at least a senior in undergrad to be considered; please include a writing sample with your resume
  • Ideal candidate has at least 1 semester of external internship or working experience in a content-heavy role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Understanding of writing for SEO and best practices for digital content creation 
  • Understanding of writing for print materials with experience writing short, punchy copy
  • Experience with B2B or B2C marketing concepts

Internship Length: Minimum of 8 weeks with the opportunity to extend

Working Environment: Hybrid from Chicago office

Salary Description
