Short’s Travel Management, a leading provider of NCAA Athletic travel for collegiate athletics has a immediate opening for a Travel Technology Administrator with it’s IT department. What you can expect in this role:

 The Travel Technology Administrator role is critical component of the continued growth and success of the Shorts Travel as we rapidly expand. As part of the TMC technical operations team, this role plays a central role in configuring agency systems and processes to support new clients, as well as working with the agent operations team to support existing clients and develop efficiencies in agent and client processes.  

  

Essential Functions:


Technical Client Implementation:  

  • Setup of new customer sites in Shorts internal travel systems 
  • Counsel customers on Travel policy and processes 
  • Provide solutions for customer’s needs

Agent Support:  

  • Provide Apollo and/or Travelport + support for agents 
  • Update and manage customer and personal travel profiles via ETSI profile manager  
  • Troubleshoot issues with internally developed Apps for agent efficiencies 
  • Train and guide agents with new technologies  
  • Ensure that applications and programming support proper documentation in Globalware accounting system

Online Booking Tool Support:  

  • Implementation of new customer sites in Deem or Concur online booking tools. 
  • Administer travel policy updates for customers in Deem and Concur sites 
  • Support Customer resolutions viable by utilization of online booking tool programming.

 Mid-office Automated Solutions: 

  • Design and manage Compleat routines for automated solutions and efficiencies.  
  • Test and counsel on current Compleat design.  
  • Assist in conversion of GDS systems from Apollo to Travelport + GDS System.  

Travel Data Analysis:   

  • Troubleshoot reconciliation of reporting data 
  • Assist Travel technology team in telling a quantitative story via current reporting tools 
  • Ensure that correct data is collected for both Grasp and internal reporting tools. 
  • We are a team at Short’s Travel Management and as such, you may be expected to assist in other departments or handle tasks outside of your typical position scope for the benefit of our clients or company. Other responsibilities as assigned.  


Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Apollo or Galileo GDS Systems 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Travel management companies  
  • Analytical Thinker: Possesses the ability to dig into an issue or requests and develop reasoned solutions or plans.

Technical Skills: 

  • Essential: 

o Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Apollo or Galileo GDS Systems 

o Minimum 3 years’ experience with Travel management companies  

o Experience administering Concur and/or Deem online booking systems. 

o Experience working with TMC Data reporting tools 

o Experience working with midoffice and backoffice systems.  

  • Desirable: 

o Knowledge of Compleat mid-office and other Compleat processes.  

o Knowledge of ETSI Profile Management  

o Knowledge of Grasp reporting system  

o Knowledge of Globalware Accounting System 

o Knowledge how to manipulate and analyze data in Microsoft Excel
