Position Purpose & Focus
The Seasonal Restoration Technician (SRT) supports project implementation and maintenance to improve water quality/health. The SRT will focus on tree planting, summer watering, and maintenance. Responsibilities encompass planting, staking, mulching, watering volunteer engagement, and tree surveys. Other projects include pavement removal, cistern installation, and green stormwater infrastructure implementation. The position works closely with a small team. Weekend work is required on volunteer dates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plant trees, mulching, watering, pruning, etc.
- Engage and direct volunteers during planting events
- Support green stormwater infrastructure projects
- Support pavement removal projects including lifting concrete and using a cement saw to cut concrete
- Help install cisterns and rain barrels
- Use hand tools such as shovels, pry bars, pick-axes, and stake drivers
- Equipment and tool maintenance

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)?
- Attention to detail, consistency and punctuality are required
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Applicant should be willing to work in potentially harsh conditions (i.e. hot /inclement weather).
- Preferred experience: Previous landscaping or construction experience

This role will pay $15/hour and is required to work a 35 hour work week.
The role will begin March 2024 and end December 2024.
